Buddhist Council of New York

The Buddhist Council of New York, founded in 1985, is an association of Buddhist Temples and organizations whose mission is to foster dialogue, cooperation and unity within the Buddhist community in the New York City area, as well as to organize events: Meditate NYC, Vesak(commemorating the birth, enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha) & the Buddhist Forum each year. Membership is open to any Buddhist Temples tracing its lineage to recognized Buddhist traditions and individuals.
